About Abq Jew ®

Abq Jew® has provided a guide to Jewish life in Albuquerque and beyond - and a personal view of all Jewish life - for more than thirteen years.

That is, since Abq Jew fled New Jersey, moved to the Land of Enchantment, gave up the tech writing biz, and began his new career as webmaster and blogger.

The guide is on the Abq Jew Web. That’s where Abq Jew provides “everything you need to know” about Jewish life in Albuquerque and beyond. Especially - the most complete Calendar of Jewish events & classes in the Land of Enchantment!

But let’s talk about the Abq Jew Blog. That’s where Abq Jew becomes Abq's “very own peripatetic historian, philosopher, scholar and mensch." You know - just living a Jewish life on the West Bank of the Rio Grande.

The first Abq Jew Blog post was published on September 19, 2010. Ten years later - on October 10, 2020 - we hit 1 Million Page Views. And as of April 2024, we're at 1.65 Million! That's about 500 Page Views every day!

Albuquerque's "very own peripatetic historian, philosopher, scholar and mensch." Neither an engineer nor a rabbi, Abq Jew® holds a B.S. in Engineering & Applied Sci from UCLA and an M.A. in Education from NYC's Jewish Theological Seminary. Go figure.
